Sunrise started in 2007 on the West Side of Cincinnati as Dr. Jeffrey Bill’s private practice, where he provided Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT). After several years, he became determined to build his practice into a proper treatment program that would provide the psychosocial support he knew was needed for achieving the treatment outcomes of which he believed medication assisted treatment was capable.
The Sunrise team continued to expand northward with the goal of serving residents of Columbus and the surrounding areas that were experiencing addiction. We can now offer our industry-leading treatment services to all patients struggling with addiction who are seeking a private, convenient, and affordable treatment organization.

Sunrise is a voluntary and comprehensive outpatient treatment program. We are well-equipped to provide safe, effective, evidence-based care to meet the treatment needs of the majority of adults struggling with substance use disorders (i.e. alcohol and other drugs). Our compassionate team of both clinical and medical professionals has decades of experience in the field that enable them to tailor treatment plans to best address the specific challenges of every individual. By working together with the patient, treatment plans are created with specific and measurable goals that act as a road map for recovery. As that is not always a straight path, Sunrise maintains referral relationships to best support the individual when their treatment needs exceed the level of care that we provide. We offer services for different levels of care ranging from non-intensive outpatient care, to our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), to our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). We offer PHP with supportive housing at our Portsmouth location only.
