Screeners such as the Brief Biosocial Gambling Screen and SOGS (South Oaks Gambling Screen) will be completed if patient indicates or if their primary counselor identifies a potential gambling problem. How do I know if I qualify for the Problem Gambling Program?

Problem gambling is a serious condition characterized by an uncontrollable urge to keep wagering despite the toll it takes on your finances, relationships, and well-being. You may need professional treatment if you find yourself constantly thinking about gambling, lying to loved ones about your losses, or betting money you cannot afford to lose. Another major warning sign is experiencing intense restlessness or irritability whenever you attempt to cut back or stop completely. When gambling ceases to be a form of entertainment and instead becomes a source of stress, anxiety, or desperation, it is time to reassess your habits. If you are at all unsure about whether your relationship with gambling has crossed the line into an addiction, the safest and healthiest choice is to seek professional treatment.
